Jocelyn Novak tied the Commonwealth Conference record for career goals, but #3 Messiah scored five unanswered to win 5-1 in the CC opener on Saturday.
The Dutchmen (4-4, 0-1 CC) were outshot 29-9 by the Falcons (4-2, 1-0 CC) despite taking an early lead.
Novak scored in the 11th minute off
Jenni Walker's pass from the left side, going to the far post for her 111th career goal. That tied the MAC/CC record held by Messiah's Danae Chambers. That also tied her with Chambers for second on the NCAA's all-time scoring list and moved her into sixth on the NCAA points list at 237.
But the Falcons came back with two before the half as Brooke Sands and Kourtney Ehly scored just under four minutes apart before the break, and Sands, Kilee Rosenberry, and Dara Downs added second-half goals to finish it at 5-1.
Christine Poletti made seven saves in the loss for LVC, while Kayleigh Stewart stopped four to earn the win. Messiah led 12-7 on corners.
LVC returns home to face Gettysburg on Tuesday.
