EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley doubled up Wilkes on shots, but was frustrated in the scoring column as the Colonels won 2-1 in non-league women's soccer play on Thursday.

The Dutchmen (3-2) outshot Wilkes (2-1) by a 22-11 margin, including 11-2 in the second half, but managed just an 87th-minute goal by Nicole Snyder.

Wilkes went ahead on its first shot of the game in the third minute thanks to Molly Martin's strike, then added the eventual gamewinner in the 82nd minute when Ashley Graham converted Katy Fissel's cross.

Snyder tuck a goal inside the left post with 3:45 left in regulation, but LVC couldn't find the equalizer.

Colonels goalkeeper Sam Lindo made 13 saves to keep her side ahead; Sami Young stopped five for LVC. The Dutchmen held a 6-1 corners advantage.

Lebanon Valley makes its 2011 home debut on Saturday against Susquehanna, on Kids' Day.
