CARLISLE, Pa.
- Lebanon Valley stormed back for a five-set comeback win over NAIA-scholarship Michigan Dearborn to cap their weekend at the Dickinson Invitational on Saturday.

The Dutchmen (6-2) dropped the day's opener to York, 3-0, but earned a hard-fought win against the tournament champions for their fifth five-set win in eight matches to start the year.

After falling down 2-0, LVC never trailed in the third, fourth, or fifth sets against Michigan-Dearborn, riding inspired defense with 18 digs by Angela Kuperavage and 16 by Sasha Birosik. Jamie Hawk led the team with 17 kills, and Kayla Confer added 12.

In the early match against York, LVC came out flat and couldn't recover from a 25-15 first-set loss. Kuperavage had 23 digs to lead the defense, and Hawk and Confer each hit seven kills. Kellsie Groff had a solid all-around game with five kills and three aces.

Lebanon Valley will start Commonwealth Conference play on Wednesday night, hosting Elizabethtown in a rematch of last season's CC championship match.
