ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's soccer team (9-3-2, 2-0 CC) got its third consecutive win Saturday afternoon in a 1-0 game against Alvernia (6-5, 1-1).
Heather Tran put the Dutchmen up with just 21 seconds to play in the first half off a pass from
Allison Korns. It was Trans' fifth goal of the season and Korns' second assist.
Sami Young recorded the shutout to improve to 6-3-1 on the season. The Crusaders took seven shots, but Young needed just four saves for the win. Three of those saves came in the second half.
Colleen Maher played well in the net for the Crusaders, making seven saves on the game. She was a perfect four-for-four on shots on goal in the second half.
LVC outshot Alvernia 19-8 with shots spread nearly evenly between the two halves. Tran,
Jess Kleeschulte and
Stevi Laird took four shots each.
LVC plays at Albright Wednesday at 7 p.m.
