WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's soccer team were outshot 13-10 Wednesday night, but it didn't matter.
Chris Hall took three shots—two of which scored—and led the Dutchmen to a 3-2 win over King's (10-4-2).
Down 0-1,
Jim Fisher was the first to score for LVC in the 59
th minute. The goal, unassisted, was scored high right from about 30 yards out of goal. It was Fisher's first of the season and his career.
Tied 1-1,
Chris Hall scored his first goal of the game on a penalty kick in the 67
th minute.
Brian Alifano tied the game at 2-2 for King's in the 86
th minute off a deflection off a Dutchmen defender.
It didn't matter. Hall scored his second goal in the 94
th minute—a header off a corner kick from
Brendan Steele.
The goals were Hall's seventh and eighth of the season. He is now just one goal from Grant Walter's career record of 32 goals with one more game to play in the regular season and a possible playoff berth on the line this weekend against Lycoming.
LVC plays Lycoming at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The team will also celebrate Senior Day with pregame recognition of its senior members.
