ANNVILLE, Pa. - A road win at the top-ranked team in the nation on the day of their homecoming would have been nice for the Lebanon Valley women's soccer team (9-4-3, 2-1-1 CC).
What they got instead was a 2-0 loss at Messiah (12-0-1, 4-0). The loss ended a 3-0-2 run for the Dutchmen, who ranked tenth in the Mid-Atlantic region in NSCAA polls.
LVC was outshot 20-4 with just one shot on goal. All four shots came off the foot of
Heather Tran.
Sami Young played the entire game in net. She recorded six saves on eight tries.
Corinne Wulf scored both goals for Messiah. The first came in the 25
th minute on a penalty kick. The second came in the 68
th minute from the top left corner.
LVC hosts Arcadia Tuesday at 4 p.m.
