ANNVILLE, Pa. - Four goals by
Jocelyn Novak - her fourth consecutive hat trick - and scores by
Lauren Brumbach and
Kirsten Martzall pushed Lebanon Valley past Dickinson 6-0 on Monday.
The streaking Dutchmen (9-4) have now won nine of their last 10 games after an 0-3 start to the season. They held a 30-7 shots advantage on the Red Devils (4-8).
Novak scored two in each half to match her career high for goals; she also scored four against Shenandoah last season. The haul gives her 18 for the season and 125 for her career, now just seven away from breaking the NCAA Division III record of 131.
LVC went ahead in the fifth minute when Novak redirected
Mandi Albright's cross after
Caitlin Vasey's run forward put the ball in the circle. Martzall doubled the score off Novak's rebounded try in the 25th minute, and Novak made it 3-0 at halftime with a redirected of
Cate Cusack's push a half hour in.
Novak got the hat trick to start the second half when she finished on
Jenni Walker's brilliant run and spin across the circle, and tacked on her fourth goal in the 48th minute when she volleyed a long cross from Walker.
Brumbach finished the scoring with her fourth goal of the season, blasting in from the arc on
Nicole Vasiliu's penalty corner injection.
Christine Poletti and
Chloe Baro made two saves each to earn the combined clean sheet, and
Bridget Monighan had a defensive stop. Katy Schlechtweg had 15 saves for Dickinson.
LVC will visit Eastern on Wednesday.
