ANNVILLE, Pa. - After seeing the women's team top Elizabethtown college Saturday morning, the Lebanon Valley men's team completed a feat that has never been done in school history: they closed out a sweep of the Blue Jays with a 1-0 win.

The Dutchmen men's team (7-4, 1-0 CC) have only beaten the Blue Jays (5-3, 0-1) once before: in 2008. The women's team only had two wins in the same span.

The only goal of the game belonged to Kevin Doty, who aced a kick five minutes into the second half. The goal was Doty's third of the season.

Shots on goal were at a premium as the game remained physically intense throughout. The Dutchmen took 13 total shots, but just four were on goal. Likewise, the Blue Jays took nine, but LVC goalkeeper James Clements had to make just four saves.

Chris Hall took a game-high six shots for the Dutchmen, including a shot that soared over the goal and through a football upright in the next field at In The Net Sports Complex.

Elizabethtown were handed two yellow cards in the first half and another two in the second. Connor McDonald was the only Dutchman to be carded--a yellow that came in the 77th minute.

The Blue Jays committed 11 additional fouls to the Dutchmen's six.

LVC heads to Scranton Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match with the Royals.
