Suprock’s OT Goal Leads Men’s Soccer Over Misericorida

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore Andy Suprock played the hero, scoring in the 98th minute to led Lebanon Valley over Misericordia, 2-1, on Wednesday at Herbert Field. Classmate James Clements made a career-high 11 saves for his third win of the season.

The two teams were evenly matched in the first half with Lebanon Valley tallying six shots to Misericordia's five. The Cougars reached the scoreboard first with an unassisted tally from Andy Bush after a scramble in front following a throw in.

Lebanon Valley evened the score at 28:05 with junior Chris Hall's team-leading sixth goal of the year, assisted by classmate Eric Woods.

Misericordia held the advantage in shots, 9-7, in the second half. The Dutchmen posted two corner kicks, while the Cougars had two for five total in the match.

Clements set up the game-winner, with his goal kick reaching past midfield and connecting with a streaking Suprock. The goal was Suprock's fourth of the season. Clements also kept LVC in the game, making back-to-back saves off Bush early in overtime.

The teams posted four shots in overtime and LVC recorded a corner kick.

LVC hosts #5 Messiah on Saturday at 3 p.m. to begin Commonwealth Conference action.
