Men’s Soccer Posts 2-1 Win Over Susquehanna

SELINGSGROVE, Pa. – A goal from junior Chris Hall with just over two minutes remaining in regulation sent Lebanon Valley to a 2-1 win over Susquehanna Thursday evening. Classmate Brendan Steele scored the Dutchmen's other goal in the victory.

Susquehanna (4-3) scored first with a goal from Jim Robertiello at 32:17, assisted by John Arnold. The Crusaders posted five shots, while Lebanon Valley (4-3) had two. Susquehanna also held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks for the first half.

LVC tied the score at 58:01 with Steele's first of the season off a free kick by the end line. Senior Justin Hutchinson assisted on the goal, his team-leading sixth of the season. Hall tallied his team-best fifth goal of the season at 87:58 off a deep cross that was headed in. Junior Eric Woods assisted on the game-winning goal.

The Dutchmen recorded nine shots to the Crusaders six in the second half for 11 aside in the game. Lebanon Valley recorded four corner kicks and Susquehanna had three in the final frame.

Sophomore James Clements made his sixth start of the season, notching six saves for the win. B.J. Merriam suffered the loss for Susquehanna, making four saves.

Lebanon Valley travels to Wilkes on Saturday for a non-conference game at 3 p.m.
