ANNVILLE, Pa. – After an even first half, visiting Dickinson scored two goals under three minutes apart to record the 2-0 victory over Lebanon Valley Saturday afternoon at Herbert Field. Sophomore
James Clements made a season-high six saves for the Dutchmen.
Dickinson posted 20 shots in the game, while Lebanon Valley had eight. The Red Devils also held the advantage in corner kicks with eight to LVC's three.
Both teams had opportunities in the first half with Dickinson totaling nine shots and LVC recording four. Corner kicks were even with two aside.
The Red Devils broke the scoreless tie at 47:17 with a goal from Nicolas Tierno. Teammate Jamie Martin started the play, hitting a sliding Tierno with a pass from the right side.
Dickinson added another goal at 50:43 when Javier Mena stayed tight with the ball, dribbling through the middle and hitting a strong ball past Clements.
Juniors
Chris Hall and
Eric Woods led the Dutchmen with three shots each.
Freshman
Josh Lineaweaver replaced Clements late in the second half, making two saves.
LVC hosts Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
