GRANTHAM, Pa. - Messiah had a 14-goal first half en route to a 20-3 win over Lebanon Valley in a Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse game on Thursday.
The Dutchmen (4-3, 2-2 MAC) took just 10 shots against a tough Falcon (5-3, 3-1 MAC) defense.
Hana Krechel scored two of LVC's goals, both from the eight-meter arc, while 
Amanda Cubbage had LVC's opening goal on an assist from 
Allison McGinniss.
Rachel Dirksen, Nikki Lawrence, and Rachel Coyle all had hat tricks for Messiah, with Dirksen notching a three-goal, four-assist game. 
Messiah outshot LVC 39-10 as they scored the first three goals of the game, then built up an 8-1 lead through the late first half. Krechel stopped a five-goal run with her first free-position goal, but Messiah outscored them 6-1 for the balance of the half to lead 14-3 at the break.
The Falcons added six unanswered goals in the second half, holding LVC scoreless.
Erica Ameigh made 16 saves for LVC, while Taylor Phillips stopped four for the win.
LVC will return home to Arnold Field to host Elizabethtown on Tuesday.
