Allison McGinniss#, the Lebanon Valley College women's lacrosse team came out on top in a shootout with King's College, 18-14, in their Middle Atlantic Conference opener at Arnold Field.
The Dutchmen (3-1, 1-0 MAC) picked up their first MAC win as they overcame a first-half Monarch (0-4, 0-1 MAC) lead with six unanswered goals over the final 10 minutes of the first.

Rachel Murkey# each added two goals apiece to help with the LVC scoring. Chelsea Manes led King's with six goals, while Krystina Villarreal and Sarah O'Doherty had hat tricks.
The Dutchmen opened with a 4-0 lead after two goals by McGinniss and two more by Krechel, but King's hit a 7-2 run to take a 7-6 lead after Villarreal's goal with 10:49 to go in the half.
Krechel's run from the circle tied the game 14 seconds later, however, sparking a six-goal run that gave LVC a comfortable 12-8 lead at the half.
King's kept it close to start the second half, but three straight goals from Krechel, #
Amber Funk#, and Clift midway through the half shut the door as LVC took a 17-10 lead.

Erica Ameigh# made seven stops to pick up the win, while Rebecca Abruzzese stopped 12 for the Monarchs.
LVC will host Arcadia on Wednesday in an MAC game at Arnold Field.
