ASTON, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley men's hockey team concluded the 2009-10 season Friday evening, falling 6-2 to Neumann. Freshmen Brent Davis and Rory Wilkowich scored the goals for LVC, and junior Rich Drazin made a season-high 50 saves in goal.
Neumann jumped out to an early lead in the first period, scoring just 1:50 into the contest. The Knights added two goals in the middle of the period to jump ahead 3-0.
The Knights added another tally to start the second before Brent Davis scored for the Dutchmen at 9:05. Sophomore Matthew Kisiday and freshman Ilester Little assisted on the goal. Neumann posted a goal before the end of the period to take a 5-1 lead.
Rory Wilkowich scored LVC's second goal of the game at 1:05 of the third. A power play goal, junior Brad Surdam and freshman William Brown recorded the assists on Wilkowich's sixth tally of the season. The Knights notched a goal at the end of the third to seal the victory.
Brad Surdam and William Brown finish the season tied for the team lead with 16 points. Brown recorded a team-best 13 assists and freshman Daniel Dempsey posted a team-high 11 goals. Goalie Rich Drazin appeared in 16 games, while freshman Matthew Turner played in 11 contests for the Dutchmen.
