ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley split its matches Saturday at the 2010 Dutchmen Quad, winning their opener against Bridgewater 3-0 before falling 3-1 to Frostburg State in the second match of the day.
In other action at the quad, Frostburg beat Neumann 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-17) in the opener, and Bridgewater beat Neumann 3-0 (26-24, 25-11, 25-17) in the afternoon.
In the day's opening match against Bridgewater, LVC was led by
Joelle Snyder, who had a team-best 12 kills as she hit .393.
Michelle Little had nine kills, and
Jamie Hawk added seven to hit .400 for the match.
Defensively,
Angela Kuperavage (17 digs) and
Jess Finlayson (15 digs) led the way, and
Emily Perkins paced the offense with 35 assists. LVC hit .191 as a team.
The Dutchmen faced a tough Frostburg team in the afternoon match and were led by the hitting duo of
Emily Hopkins (13 kills, .345, 1 Bs, 3 Ba) and
Joelle Snyder (11 kills, .296).
Emily Perkins had 47 assists in the four-setter.
Angela Kuperavage again led the defensive effort with 15 digs, and
Sasha Birosik got under 14.
