WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lebanon Valley men's soccer posted its fourth shutout of the season with a 2-0 victory over Lycoming Wednesday afternoon. Goalkeeper
James Clements recorded the win for LVC, picking up his third shutout of the season.
Chris Hall started things off at 24:23 with a one timer into the left corner, assisted by
Justin Hutchinson. The goal was Hall's team-leading eighth of the year.
Lycoming (6-9-1, 0-4-1 CC) held the advantage in the first half, recording seven shots and two corner kicks, while Lebanon Valley (8-5-1, 2-1-1 CC) notched five shots and was held without a corner kick opportunity.
The Dutchmen sealed the win just after halftime with
Andrew Cooper scoring at 51:57 off a rebound in front.
Eric Woods assisted on the goal.
In the second half, the Warriors registered eight shots and two corner kicks. LVC tallied seven shots and three corner kicks in the final 45 minutes.
Clements made six saves in the win. Lycoming's James Quinn played the first half and Nial Krach finished the game. Both made two saves each.
Lebanon Valley continues Commonwealth Conference play on Saturday at Alvernia. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
