ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley women's soccer recorded a 1-1 draw with Elizabethtown Wednesday afternoon at Herr Field. Sophomore
Morgan Miller scored LVC's only goal, the first of her collegiate career.
The two teams remained scoreless through the first 45 minutes, with LVC holding an 8-3 shot advantage.
The Dutchmen reached the scoreboard first with Miller's goal at 48:42, assisted by sophomore
Nicole Snyder.
Elizabethtown evened the score in the 69th minute with Kate Roderick's third of the season, unassisted.
LVC continued to pressure in the second half, posting six shots to Elizabethtown's four, and both teams notched two corner kicks.
In the first overtime, Lebanon Valley tallied four shots to Elizabethtown's one, but was unable to sneak one past goalie Jess Manchak, who finished the contest with nine saves. The Dutchmen added two more shots in the second overtime and recorded two corner kicks, but settled for the tie.
Registering 20 shots in the contest, Snyder, and freshmen
Lindi Crist and
Heather Tran led the way with three shots each.
Junior
Sami Young played the complete game for LVC, registering five saves.
The Dutchmen continue Commonwealth Conference play on Saturday when they host Albright at noon.
