ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley men's soccer dropped a 1-0 contest to Elizabethtown Wednesday evening in Commonwealth Conference action, snapping a three game win streak. Sophomore
James Clements made eight saves in his fourth-straight start for the Dutchmen.
Despite remaining scoreless through the first, Elizabethtown (8-1-2, 3-0 CC) maintained the advantage. The Blue Jays posted eight shots and four corner kicks, to Lebanon Valley's (7-5, 1-1 CC) one shot and two corner kicks.
Clements made three of his eight saves in the first 45 minutes.
Elizabethtown continued to dominate in the second half, tallying 15 shots and three corner kicks. The Dutchmen registered six shots and five corner kicks.
The Blue Jays broke the scoreless tie at 65:17 with Javeim Blanchette's fifth goal of the season, assisted by Ross Withrow.
Goalkeeper Eric Carr made three saves for Elizabethtown in the win.
Lebanon Valley continues Commonwealth Conference action on Saturday, hosting Albright for a 3 p.m. game.
