CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Lebanon Valley College women's volleyball team came out of the gates fast on Friday night at the Cortland Red Dragons Tournament, winning both of its matches to advance to the Championship Round for the second straight year.
LVC defeated Montclair State, 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-9) in the opener before downing Clarkson, 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-15, 25-11) in the night cap.
In the first match, Joelle Snyder led the way with seven kills. Jess Raber added six and Emily Hopkins had five.
Angela Kuperavage contibuted 10 digs while Ally Stengel distributed 16 assists in her first collegiate match. Emilhy Perkins added 11 assists in the win.
In the second match, LVC was on the offensive all night.
Snyder hammered home 18 kills while Raber came through with 14 and Jamie Hawk added eight.
Perkins was a force on the set, assisting on 52 kills.
As a team, LVC ended the match with 85 digs. Kuperavage had 24, Hannah Free had 20 and Michelle Little added 15 to lead the way.
LVC plays host SUNY-Cortland at 10 a.m. in the Championship Bracket.
