Eckenrode's Hat Trick Drives FH Past Arcadia

Box Score

GLENSIDE, Pa.
- Cait Eckenrode's hat trick powered #8 Lebanon Valley past Arcadia, 4-0, in LVC's Commonwealth Conference opener on Saturday.

The Dutchmen (6-1, 1-0 CC) did all their scoring in the first half as Eckenrode tallied three and Shelly Lobach added a goal and an assist.

The win was the 499th in program history for LVC; the Dutchmen will go for the milestone 500th victory Tuesday at Albright. LVC is 499-310-67 all-time since 1933.

Caitlin Baro made a single save to record her third shutout of the season. Rachel Palis had an outstanding game with 17 saves, but it wasn't enough to stem the tide of 26 LVC shots.

Eckenrode got LVC on the board just a minute into the game with an unassisted goal, and added her second 10 minutes later thanks to Rachel Pantalone's assist.

Lobach scored unassisted at 12:14, then dished out the assist on Eckenrode's third goal 30 seconds before halftime.

LVC held a dominating 26-2 shots advantage, allowing just one Arcadia shot per half, while the Dutchmen also held an 11-5 corners advantage.
