Box Score ANNVILLE, Pa. - Chris Hall simply would not let Lebanon Valley's six-match unbeaten streak fade away. The sophomore forward twice scored goals that tied Wednesday's game against Susquehanna before potting the game-winner in the 80th minute as LVC downed the Crusaders, 3-2, at Herbert Field. The hat trick was the second of Hall's young career. He also turned the trick against Widener last season. The match was evenly played, with each side sending 13 shots in the other's direction. 8 of the Crusaders' shots found LVC keeper Andrew Raudensky, and the experienced goalie stopped six of them. B.J. Merriam made two saves for Susquehanna. The Crusaders scored first in the 7th minute when Dan Nieson scored from close range after a pass from Bobby Long. LVC tied in the 12th minute after Hall's first tally. Justin Hutchinson was in the right corner and sent a cross right in front of the keeper that Hall collected and quickly deposited in the net. In the second half, Susquehanna's Sam Meister finished off a bang-bang play to give SU its second lead of the game. Daniel Sosa started the play off a corner kick. His entry pass was headed by Andrew Cordell Carey right at Meister who headed the ball past a stunned Raudensky. Hall again knotted the game in the 55th minute off an assist from Kelly Hess. Hall settled a cross from Hess and kicked the ball out of mid-air, sending a hook shot past Merriam. With just over 10 minutes to play, Hall finished off his hat trick with a quick low shot off a pass from Conner McAuliffe. LVC is now 5-1-2 in 2009. Susquehanna is now 3-5-0.Print Friendly Version
