Lauren King scored twice and freshman
Megan Sager netted her first collegiate goal as Lebanon Valley College shut out DeSales University, 3-0, at Herbert Field on Tuesday.
The Dutchmen (4-3-1) were buoyed at the back by goalkeeper
Stacy Ganley, who made eight saves to earn the clean sheet.
King put LVC ahead in the 12th minute when she flicked a header on goal off
Erin McGarvey's long cross. King struck again in the 53rd when she slid on
Kristen Mauser's cross and beat the goalkeeper.
King set up the third goal as well, taking a hard shot that rebounded off Melissa Millili and onto the feet of Sager, who buried the finish at 67:11.
LVC held a 13-11 advantage on shots, and DeSales led 3-1 in corners.
Katie Halpin was in goal for DeSales in the first half and took the loss while making four saves; Millili made two stops in the second half.
LVC will host Franklin & Marshall College Thursday at 5 p.m.
