YORK, Pa. - Lebanon Valley College finished up the final day of York College's Best Western Westgate Volleyball Invitational Saturday, winning a pair of matches to finish third overall.
The Dutchmen (14-2) topped conference foe Arcadia University 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-17) in the final pool play match before taking down DeSales University 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-16) in the third-place match.
Joelle Snyder again led LVC with some outstanding hitting, racking up 14 kills against Arcadia and 12 versus DeSales.
Against Arcadia, the Dutchmen cruised behind Snyder and
Emily Hopkins, who threw down 13 kills and added a solo and two assist blocks.
Jamie Hawkhit .500 for the match with eight kills and no errors, while
Erin Yost put up 30 assists.
Against DeSales, Snyder was errorless in her 12 kill effort, hitting .480 along three assist blocks at the net.
Christa Vrabel came up with 14 digs, and
Brandi Roth added 10. Yost added 31 assists and two assist blocks.
The Dutchmen will host Susquehanna University Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
