Lebanon Valley College went 2-0 on the first day of the 15th Annual Flying Dutchmen Tournament at the LVC Gymnasium.

The Dutchmen (8-1) continued their hot start as they dispatched of Ursinus College, 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-11) before beating York College, 3-1 (25-13, 21-25, 25-19, 25-17).

Against Ursinus, LVC cruised behind 11 kills from Joelle Snyder, who was errorless as she hit .647 for the match. Erin Yost and Emily Hopkins each contributed four service aces, and LVC blocked eight at the net.

Against York, the Dutchmen won the first set handily before York's tough defense carried it to a second-set victory. Down 17-12 in the third, LVC went on a 13-2 run the rest of the set to retake the momentum and win. They were again led by Snyder's 11 kills, and Hopkins had 10 kills. Brandi Roth racked up 27 digs.
