CORTLAND, N.Y. - Sophomore Michelle Little was named to the all-tournament team as Lebanon Valley College took third place Saturday with a split at the SUNY Cortland Red Dragon Classic.

The Dutchmen (3-1) lost the opener against the hosts, 3-2 (25-19, 22-25, 25-13, 14-25, 15-10) before bouncing back in the third-place match to beat Montclair State in a marathon, 3-2 (25-16, 16-25, 25-19, 24-26, 15-7).

Little racked up 49 kills over four matches to make the all-tournament team.

Sophomore Emily Hopkins led the way in the see-saw opening loss to Cortland, racking up 17 kills, while Little had 14 and Joelle Snyder 12. Brandi Roth continued an outstanding defensive tournament with 19 digs, and Christa Vrabel had 17 digs.

In the third-place match, Hopkins again hit well with 15 kills, and Little pitched in 13. Freshman Angela Kuperavage and sophomore Jess Raber added nine apiece. Roth posted 16 digs, while Vrabel worked four service aces.

LVC will open at home Sept. 7 with a tri-match, hosting Ramapo College and Penn State Harrisburg starting at 1 p.m.
