ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Elizabethtown College jumped out to a 4-1 halftime lead as it beat Lebanon Valley College, 5-1, to eliminate the Dutchmen from the Commonwealth Conference playoff race.

The Dutchmen (9-7-2, 2-4 CC) will miss out on the playoffs with six points for fifth place.

E-town jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half hour on goals b Jenna Russo, Brooke Dotterer, and Gretchen Geiger.

LVC pulled one back in the 29th  minute when Christine Fraser took advantage of a misplay by the goalkeeper, but the Blue Jays struck again just after the half hour on Elyse Carabello's goal.

Russo added her second goal 1:43 into the second half to cap the win.

Alyson Reitmeyer made six saves for LVC; Angela Freeland and Kristin Kelly split time for E-town, with Freeland making two saves to get the win. Elizabethtown outshot LVC 21-7.

LVC will finish the season at Delaware Valley on Saturday.
