OT Goal Drops Men's Soccer, 1-0

Box Score

ANNVILLE, Pa. -
Rutgers-Camden's Todd Kleinstuber scored the golden-goal overtime winner to break scoreless tie and drop Lebanon Valley College, 1-0, at a chilly Herbert Field on Wednesday.

The Dutchmen (9-7-0) were playing their regular-season home finale against the Scarlet Raptors (13-3-1).

In regulation, LVC's best chance came in the 25th minute when Chris Hall drilled a shot off the crossbar that bounced down in front of goal before being cleared. Morgan Crouse also had a curling set piece saved late in the game.

Rutgers-Camden attacked to start overtime, and nearly had a goal when Andrew Dorsey got behind a free kick and forced a diving save by Tim Mehl.

It would be Dorsey who set up the winner less than a minute later as he fed Kleinstuber in space for a chip into goal.

Rutgers led 16-11 in shots and 8-1 on corners. Mehl made six saves in the loss, while Tim VanLiew stopped three to pick up the win as he broke a program record for wins in a season at 13.

LVC visits Lycoming in a critical Commonwealth Conference game on Saturday. An LVC win would complete a perfect conference season and give them homefield advantage in the playoffs.
