ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College women's soccer team ran into one of the nation's top teams Tuesday as it fell to #2 Messiah College, 4-0, at Herbert Field.

The Dutchmen (8-4-2, 2-1-0 CC) had not lost in their last seven games; the Falcons (13-0-2, 2-0-0 CC) remained unbeaten.

The nearly impenetrable Falcon defense did not allow LVC a shot until the waning moments of the game, while the Messiah offense generated 27 attempts.

Rachel Horning got the scoring started in the seventh minute, and Amanda Naeher made it 2-0 in the 15th minute. Olivia Scott added a goal in the 19th minute, and Naeher scored her second in the 57th minute.

Alyson Reitmeyer and Stacy Ganley split halves in goal; Reitmeyer made two saves and Ganley four.

LVC will host Widener University this Saturday on Senior Day.
