ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley College had to come back in three sets as it rallied to beat Widener University, 3-1 (25-18, 25-23, 19-25, 25-20), in a key Commonwealth Conference match Wednesday night.
The Dutchmen (16-2, 2-0 CC) were led by a huge 23-kill performance by
Joelle Snyder and 15 kills by
Emily Hopkins.
Erin Yost put up 56 assists to help LVC hit .252 for the match.
LVC found itself down in every set it won, coming back with big runs each time.
Jess Raber pitched in seven kills, nine digs, two aces and three block assists, while
Brandi Roth led with 19 digs.
Angela Kuperavage also had 13 digs.
Nicole Merton led Widener (15-6, 2-1 CC) with 11 kills, but the Pride were done in by mistakes as they hit .135 with 19 errors.
LVC will take part in the Devils' Classic at FDU-Florham this weekend starting on Friday,
