Last-Gasp Goal Fells Women's Soccer, 1-0

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's Danielle David scored a last-gasp goal in the 90th minute as Lebanon Valley College fell, 1-0, in women's soccer action Wednesday.

The Flying Dutchmen (0-2) dropped their second-straight one-goal decision. The Diplomats (2-0-1) remained unbeaten on the season.

David broke the scoreless tie with just 39 seconds left in regulation when Shannon Summers fed her a through pass.

The game saw little offensive action in the first half, with the two sides combining for five shots. The Dips quickened the pace in the second, taking six shots, including the final three of the game. LVC did not attempt a shot for the final 21 minutes.

Erin McGarvey led LVC with a pair of shots.

Goalkeeper Erika Ely made four saves for the Dutchmen, as did counterpart Erin Roy. F&M held a 6-3 advantage on corners.

Lebanon Valley will stay on the road at Wilkes on Saturday at 11 a.m.
