CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College women's soccer team had its six-game winning streak snapped Saturday as it fell, 2-1, at DeSales University.
The Flying Dutchmen (6-4) could not kickstart their offense, and took just four shots. The Bulldogs (2-7-1) ripped off 18 shots, including 11 in the second half.
DeSales struck first in the 16th minute when Dana Eustace took Jessica Baker's pass and blasted a goal from 18 yards out.
The Dutchmen equalized in an odd way, when junior Jenny DiMauro blocked goalkeeper Katie Halpin's kick back into the net in the 55th minute.
DeSales did not relent searching for the winner, and finally punched through 4:07 from the end of regulation with Eustace's second, again from Baker.
Junior Erika Ely made eight saves in the losing effort. Halpin stopped two. DeSales held a 18-4 advantage on shots and a 4-3 edge on corner kicks.
LVC will visit Penn State-Harrisburg  Monday at 4 p.m.
