ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College men's soccer team continued its slide Saturday, dropping its fifth in a row in a 2-0 loss to Albright College on Oktoberfest Weekend.
The Dutchmen (6-7, 0-2 Commonwealth) couldn't finish on any of their 10 shots. The Lions (5-6-2, 1-1 Commonwealth) scored a goal in each half.
Albright's Dan Martin notched the gamewinner with four minutes left in the first half, hitting a breakaway and beating LVC goalkeeper Tim Mehl.
Samuel Thompson added the insurance just 20 seconds into the second half, taking Mike DePasquale's feed.
LVC actually led, 10-9, in shots and 5-2 in corner kicks. Mehl made six saves, while counterpart Wendell Hannaford stopped seven in earning the shutout.
LVC will continue its season Wednesday, hosting McDaniel College at 4 p.m.
