DALLAS, Pa. - Misericordia University erupted for four goals at it beat Lebanon Valley College, 4-1, in men's soccer action Wednesday night.
The Dutchmen (6-6, 0-1 Commonwealth) got their lone goal from sophomore Travis Steedle, but conceded two late goals near the end of the game. LVC has now lost four in a row.
Misericordia's Colin Hynes opened the scoring 20 minutes into the game, and Cody Hack made it 2-0 five minutes later.
Steedle cut the lead to a goal when he struck on the half hour, converting senior Brian Reinhardt's assist to take a 2-1 deficit into the half.
Unfortunately for LVC, the Dutchmen were only able to muster one shot in the second half, and Misericordia kept pressing. It paid off when Max Campbell added two goals in the last six minutes of the game.
Misericordia outshot LVC 9-4. Corner kicks were even at three apiece.
LVC will host Albright College at 2 p.m. Saturday as part of the College's Oktoberfest Weekend.
