Men's Soccer Falls In OT To Lycoming, 2-1

ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College men's soccer team ended its season in heartbreaking fashion, falling 2-1 in overtime to Lycoming College at Herbert Field Saturday.

The Dutchmen finish the season at 6-10-2 and 0-4-1 in Commonwealth Conferece play. The Warriors (13-4-1, 3-2 CC) will qualify for the CC playoffs as the third seed.

Lycoming got on the board first, in the 36th minute, when Chris Lorenzet took a pass in the middle from Zach Frederick and buried the finish.

Adam Schies, playing his final career game on Senior Day, levelled the scored in the 51st minute when he placed a header on net from classmate Zach Barkus' pass. The game would end at 1-1 in regulation.

It didn't take long for the Warriors to find the dramatic gamewinner. Mike Coates got free on a breakaway and scored the winner 1:41 into the extra period.

Andrew Raudensky started the game, but had to depart with an injury after 55:23 of work. Tim Mehl made three saves in relief. Ryan Humphreys stopped eight to earn the win for Lycoming.

LVC held a 12-10 edge in shots and led 7-4 in corner kicks.
