Rachel Biggar takes over as the interim head coach for the 2014 season after serving six seasons as an assistant coach at LVC, following a standout playing career at Division I Liberty University.
A native of Grantville, Biggar was an all-state high school player at Mount Calvary Christian before moving on to Liberty, where she appeared in 68 games while scoring five goals and seven assists in her career. She graduated in 2008 with a degree in Kinesiology after a four-year starting career with the Flames, leading the team to a Big South Title and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2005.
In addition to her work with LVC, Biggar has served as a Youth Soccer Trainer with the Lebanon Valley Soccer Club for the past six years. At the LVSC, she is reponsible for communicating with coaches, setting up training schedules, organizing practices for player development, running team camps, and evaluating players during tryouts and in league games. She holds an Advanced Regional Diploma from the NSCAA.
Biggar currently resides in Grantville, Pa. with her husband, Ben, and son, Declan.
