Vince Pantalone

Vince Pantalone, LVC’s defensive coordinator, enters his 13th season at The Valley and seventh as defensive coordinator. Pantalone had previously spent three seasons each working with linebackers and quarterbacks.

Pantalone’s unit has consistently produced All-MAC caliber contributors at every level of the defense. The team’s most recent campaign saw safety Kyle Murray ’17 and inside linebacker Alex Trujillo recognized by the conference for their stellar play.

His players have also succeeded on the national level, as he coached linebacker Frank Gaffney ’14 and defensive end Zach Halpin ’13 to a combined three all-America honors, while leading six players to all-region accolades. Gaffney and linebacker Brian Cottone ’09 were named MAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2013 and 2009, respectively.

Prior to coaching at Lebanon Valley, Pantalone was the head coach at Cedar Cliff High School from 2001-04. As head coach at Lower Dauphin High School from 1991-97,  Pantalone led the Falcons to an impressive 54-22-1 record. His teams claimed three Mid-Penn Conference championships and in 1995, Pantalone guided Lower Dauphin to the PIAA Class AAAA state championship game. He was a three-time Mid-Penn Coach of the Year and was the PIAA District III Coach of the Year in 1995.

A native of Hershey, Pantalone was a star wide receiver at Moravian College, where he was a four-year starter and team MVP as a senior in 1976. In 1997, he was inducted into the Moravian Sports Hall of Fame. Pantalone and his wife, Carla, reside in Harrisburg. They are the parents of five children: Rob (and Ashley), Phil (and Danielle), Rachel ’11 (and Zach ’10), Julia, and Nick ’15. They also have three grandchildren: Eleanor, Jackson, and Rosalynn.
