Abby Reed was named the MAC Freedom Softball Pitcher of the Week after she went 1-1 with a 1.00 ERA and five strikeouts in 14.0 innings for the Dutchmen. She earned a complete game victory with two strikeouts and scattered five hits in a 4-1 victory over Arcadia to complete a sweep of the Knights in the conference-opening series. Earlier in the week, she allowed just one earned run on five hits with three strikeouts in a hard-fought 3-1 battle with defending Landmark Champion Moravian.
