Miley Beachel was named the MAC Freedom Softball Pitcher of the Week after she earned a 2.2-inning save in her first collegiate pitching appearance as she closed out LVC's 5-3 victory over Marian on Sunday. Beachel took the circle with runners on the corners and one out in the middle of the fifth inning after playing left field for the first four innings. She allowed just one hit and struck out one the rest of the way to close out LVC's first win of the season. At the plate, she was 1-3 with a run scored.
