Padraig Carey has been the Lebanon Valley College men's ice hockey team's Goalie Coach since the 2018-19 season, and he became the women's ice hockey team's Goalie Coach before the start of the 2024-25 campaign.
During his tenure at LVC, Carey has guided three goaltenders to All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) honors. In 2024-25, Mia Frisoni's .962 save percentage for Dutchmen Women's Ice Hockey was ranked first in Division III. This prompted Frisoni to receive a spot on the All-MAC First Team. Lebanon Valley's men's ice hockey team has also garnered recognition during Carey's time on the staff, as Aidan Richardson was named to the All-MAC Second Team in 2020-21 and Jadon Lee was listed as an Honorable Mention in 2023-24.
Since 2013, Carey has served as the Central Pennsylvania Director for the Goalie Academy (GA), and since 2015, he's spearheaded the GA's goalie training with the Hershey Jr. Bears. Carey also coaches the goalies of the prestigious Hershey Quebec Pee Wee Team.
Originally from New Jersey, Carey grew up playing youth hockey in the New York and New Jersey area. After spending time playing Junior Hockey in the States and Canada, he played four years at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association's (ACHA) Division I Conference.
