Nikki Lloyd ’18 became an Assistant Coach for the Lebanon Valley College women’s ice hockey team before the start of the 2024-25 season.

During Lloyd’s first season as an Assistant Coach for the Dutchmen, the team posted its best-ever record, going 17-8-1 overall and reaching the semifinals of the inaugural Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Women’s Ice Hockey Tournament. Lebanon Valley also received three All-MAC First Team selections, and Anna Dale was named the first CCM Hockey/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American in program history in 2024-25.

Prior to starting her coaching career, Lloyd was a four-year student-athlete at LVC, spending time competing for the women’s ice hockey, women’s lacrosse, and field hockey teams. She was a standout center and left winger for Lebanon Valley’s women’s ice hockey squad during the first two seasons in program history, and she served as a captain as a senior. Lloyd led the Flying Dutchmen in both points and goals during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 campaigns, posting 20 points and 14 goals in her career. The former forward is tied for LVC’s single-game program records in goals with four and power-play goals with two, achieving both marks during the team’s 6-2 victory over Post University on Nov. 13, 2016.

In four years as a midfielder for Dutchmen Women’s Lacrosse, Lloyd contributed to the program reaching the postseason in each campaign. Individually, she recorded 14 points with 12 goals and two assists while also picking up 16 ground balls. Additionally, Lloyd contributed to the field hockey program reaching the postseason in both of her two years as a forward.

Lloyd garnered several academic accolades during her career as a student-athlete, earning a spot on the MAC Academic Honor Roll three times. She was also selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad as a first-year, and to the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) All-Academic Team as a senior. Additionally, Lloyd was recognized for her exemplary conduct as a student-athlete by being named to the MAC’s 2018 Winter Sportsmanship Team.

Lloyd graduated from Lebanon Valley in 2018 with a bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She also earned a master’s in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida.
