Matthew Clark ’12 has been an Assistant Coach for the Lebanon Valley College football team since 2017, and he currently serves as a Defensive Assistant Coach and a Co-Defensive Line Coach. He has worked with the defensive line for each year of his tenure. Clark was a Defensive Assistant in his first season before becoming a Defensive Line Coach, and he was the program’s Defensive Run Game Coordinator in 2025.
In 2025, Clark led defensive linemen Luke Ordway ’26, Jordan Blauch ’26, and Aonghas Evanick ’25, M’27 to spots on the All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Team. Ordway was selected to the Second Team, while Blauch and Evanick were recognized as Honorable Mentions.
Clark helped guide defensive linemen Jake Marcus ’24 and Noah Caldani ’24 to All-MAC honors in 2024, as Marcus was selected to the Second Team and Caldani was listed as an Honorable Mention. During the campaign, Caldani also became fourth on LVC's all-time quarterback sacks list.
Defensive end Brandon Brubaker ’22 earned an All-MAC Honorable Mention nod in 2019 and Second Team All-MAC in 2021 under Clark’s tutelage.
Before coaching at LVC, Clark spent one year as the Special Teams Coordinator and Assistant Offensive Line Coach at Harrisburg High School in 2016. He helped the Cougars reach the state championship game that year.
Clark was a two-year starter on the offensive line for the Dutchmen, starting all 11 games as a junior and capping his career with First Team All-MAC recognition for his play at right guard during his senior season in 2012. He played a key role on the ECAC Bowl-winning team in 2011 and helped Ben Guiles ’12 eclipse the LVC career rushing record. Clark is a 2008 graduate of Rocky Point High School, where he helped lead his team to a postseason berth.
Clark resides in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and he teaches Chemistry at Greenwood High School. He previously taught eighth-grade science at Central Dauphin East Middle School.
