Kiely Chaklos '15, M'16 has been an assistant coach at her alma mater since the 2016-17 season.
The Frackville, Pa., native was a four-year captain and put together one of the most successful careers for the Dutchmen in recent memory. Chaklos earned MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year status as a first-year player and was named MAC Commonwealth Tournament MVP after netting a game-high 27 points in the final. As a sophomore, she earned All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention after scoring 11.8 points per game and averaging 32 minutes per game.
As a junior, Chaklos received Honorable Mention from the MAC Commonwealth again and served as a team captain. That season, she was second on the team in scoring with 10.7 points a game. After missing her senior season due to injury, Chaklos returned as a graduate student and the second-year team captain became the 12th LVC women’s basketball player to score 1,000 or more career points. Chaklos ranks fifth on the all-time scoring list.
Chaklos earned a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education and received her master’s degree in Business Administration from LVC in 2016.
