Kasey Thomas ’24, D’26, joined the coaching staff of Lebanon Valley’s volleyball team before the start of the 2024 season.
Thomas became an Assistant Coach for the Dutchmen after concluding her playing career with the program. She was the starting libero for three seasons and registered 992 career digs. Thomas also held the program record for digs in an individual match when she graduated, as she tallied 34 at Swarthmore College on Sept. 11, 2021. She made an impact off the court as well, leading the team as a captain in her senior year while being a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for three years and serving as its Secretary for two.
Additionally, she succeeded academically as a student-athlete at Lebanon Valley, earning recognition on the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Academic Honor Roll in all four years she was on the team. Thomas was also named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as a junior and senior. She graduated from LVC in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and is in the graduate phase of pursuing a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Before attending LVC, Thomas graduated from Westminster High School in Westminster, Md. She was the starting libero for the school’s volleyball team for two seasons while serving as a team captain as a senior. During her time on the varsity team, the program was the state runner-up once and reached the state semifinals twice.
Additionally, Thomas gained volleyball coaching experience by working at clinics in her hometown of Westminster. She also worked with her former volleyball club team, Mission 4:10 Volleyball Club, when she was at home during breaks from college.
