Lebanon Valley College Athletics

Julia Duggan was announced as the Lebanon Valley College women’s basketball team’s 33rd Head Coach in program history on July 3, 2025. 

Duggan began her career as a collegiate Head Coach by leading the Dutchmen to an 18-8 overall record with a 9-5 mark against Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom opponents during the 2025-26 campaign. She guided the program to the postseason during her first year at the helm, reaching the MAC Freedom Championship semifinal. Under Duggan’s tutelage, Lebanon Valley players have received one D3hoops.com All-Region 4 honor (Riley Hevelow ’26) and three All-MAC Freedom accolades.  

Duggan has also supported the academic success of student-athletes at LVC, as four players have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. Additionally, 13 student-athletes have been listed on the MAC Academic Honor Roll, while one player has been voted to the Academic All-MAC Team. Furthermore, 10 student-athletes have been selected to the Eastern Athletic Communications Association (EAST-COMM) Academic Honor Roll. 
 
Prior to LVC, she spent three years as an Assistant Coach at Division III powerhouse Christopher Newport University (Virginia). The Captains won three Coast-to-Coast Conference Championships and had an 84-5 record during her time in Newport News. CNU played in the NCAA Tournament all three years that Duggan was on the staff, advancing to the National Championship game in 2023. In the 2024-25 season, Christopher Newport finished the campaign 26-2 and was highly ranked all year before being upset by Montclair State University in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. 
 
Before Christopher Newport, Duggan began her coaching career at Endicott College (Massachusetts) as an Assistant Coach of the Gulls for three years. She helped the Gulls win the program's first Commonwealth Coast Conference title and then upset national power University of Scranton in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Christopher Newport during the 2019-20 season. 
 
Duggan is a 2017 graduate of Rider University (New Jersey) with a Public Relations degree. She was a four-year member of the Broncs women's basketball team, earning All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Third Team honors and Second Team All-MET honors, and being named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team as a senior. She finished her career with 1,003 points and 834 rebounds while playing a program record 124 games. Duggan spent two years after college playing professionally in Europe. She spent a year in Germany playing for TG Neuss Tigers and then played a season in France for CJS Geispolsheim.
