Jim Gardner became an Assistant Coach for the Lebanon Valley College Men’s and Women’s Swimming teams before the 1999-2000 season. He graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. Jim has been a teacher within the Annville-Cleona School District for the past 40 years. Along with his wife, Mary, the Gardners have coached together in summer and winter age group swimming since 1988. They reside in Annville, Pa., and have seen their two children, son David and daughter Mary Rebecca, graduate from LVC after successful four-year swimming careers.
