Jake Marcus ’24 became the Defensive Quality Control Coach, the Linebackers Coach, and a Junior Varsity Coach for the Lebanon Valley College football team before the start of the 2025 season.
Marcus joined the coaching staff after concluding his playing career as a five-year member of the Dutchmen. He appeared in four seasons as a defensive tackle for LVC after the 2020 campaign was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He played a key role in helping Lebanon Valley reach the postseason twice, as the program earned a spot in the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Individually, Marcus tallied 135 total tackles and 11 sacks during his career. The defensive lineman was recognized by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) twice, when he was named to the All-MAC Second Team Defense in his final two seasons.
Marcus also garnered accolades for his academic success, being listed on the MAC Academic Honor Roll twice. Additionally, he was selected to the Academic All-MAC Team in 2024. Marcus graduated from Lebanon Valley in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in English.
