Emily Beard ’24 became an Assistant Coach for the Lebanon Valley College women’s lacrosse team before the start of the 2026 season.
Beard joined the program’s coaching staff after finishing an excellent career as an attacker for the Dutchmen. The two-year team captain recorded 213 goals and 61 assists for 274 career points. In her five seasons, she also tallied 128 draw controls, 109 ground balls, and 53 caused turnovers. When Beard concluded her playing career, she was third in program history in goals while ranking fifth in points and fifth in free-position goals with 37. Additionally, she set LVC’s single-season record for goals by scoring 75 times in the 2025 campaign. Beard garnered recognition for her success, earning spots on the All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom First Team twice. Furthermore, she was named Lebanon Valley’s team MVP in 2024.
Beard was also a member of Lebanon Valley’s women’s swimming team for four years. In the 2021-22 season, she qualified for the MAC Championships 50-yard freestyle. Additionally, Beard qualified for the MAC Championships in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard individual medley in the 2022-23 campaign.
Beard was honored for her success in the classroom as well, earning four College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors and eight selections to the MAC Academic Honor Roll. She was also listed on the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll twice, and she was chosen to the inaugural Eastern Athletic Communications Association (EAST-COMM) Academic Honor Roll. Beard graduated from LVC with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
