Carly Kleintop ’22, M’23, has been an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Lebanon Valley College since August 2023.
Kleintop is an Athletic Trainer for LVC’s field hockey, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s track and field (distance), women’s ice hockey, and men’s lacrosse teams. She is also a Preceptor at the College, serving as a mentor and Clinical Instructor for graduate students in the Athletic Training program.
Kleintop joined the staff for the Dutchmen after attending the College and competing for the Women’s Soccer team as a student-athlete. She was a member of the squad from the 2018 season through the 2021 campaign. Kleintop was recognized for her academic success during her collegiate soccer career, receiving Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Academic Honor Roll recognition twice. During her time at LVC, she was also a member of the Sports Medicine Society Club and the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Kleintop graduated from Lebanon Valley in 2022 with a bachelor’s in Exercise Science and earned a master’s in Athletic Training in 2023. As a student at the College, she served as a second-year mentor to a first-year Athletic Training student and was a guest lecturer for the Introduction to Athletic Training course. During her education, Kleintop gained clinical experience through several rotations, including at Rutgers University with the women’s lacrosse team and Elizabethtown College with the wrestling, baseball, men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, and women’s basketball teams.
Additionally, Kleintop gained clinical experience by working at Garden Spot Middle/High School, Lancaster General Health Sports Medicine, Penn State Health, and Annville-Cleona Middle/High School. Along with these experiences, she was an Athletic Trainer at the 2022 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional at Elizabethtown, and a volunteer at the 2022 Boston Marathon, where she provided wheelchair services to runners.
Kleintop also holds multiple certifications, as she is a Licensed Athletic Trainer in Pennsylvania and is a National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) Certified Athletic Trainer. Additionally, she is certified in professional AED, CPR, and first aid.
