Brad Karli

Brad Karli joined the LVC staff for the 2017-18 season after spending six seasons at Bloomsburg. He spent the previous 15 seasons associated with Elizabethtown, playing there for four years and serving the next 11 years as an assistant coach.

In his first season with the Flying Dutchmen, Karli helped lead LVC to its first outright conference championship since 1995, earning the program an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the first time in more than a decade. The Dutchmen earned a thrilling 81-79 win over longtime rival Albright in the MAC Commonwealth Championship Game before bowing out to No. 18 Middlebury in the first round of NCAA play. Sam Light earned a D-III News All-America Honorable Mention nod, while Andy Orr picked up CoSIDA Academic All-America Third-Team recognition. Light was named to the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List and Orr became the program's third player to be named a Josten's Trophy Top-10 Finalist. Both players added all-region recognition from the NABC, D3hoops.com, and the ECAC. LVC won three games against nationally-ranked competition and the squad as a whole was named the NABC Division III National Team of the Week in early January.

Karli helped lead Bloomsburg to three straight PSAC playoff appearances and the program's first postseason victory since 2001 during the 2013-14 campaign. He was heavily involved with recruiting and the guidance of multiple All-PSAC players, including a pair of All-PSAC East selections in 2013-14 as Dontahe Jordan and Lorenzo Christmas. The duo finished their careers among the school's all-time leaders in multiple categories with more than 1,000 points apiece.

At Elizabethtown, Karli played basketball and baseball. He was a three-year starter at point guard and four-year letterwinner on a team that made three consecutive postseason appearances. He led the team in assists and steals as a senior and is eighth in school history in career assists (307) and ninth in steals with 142. He was a three-year letterwinner and starting outfielder in baseball. He earned all-conference and team MVP honors, and the squad won a conference championship.

After graduating in 1998, Karli became an assistant coach and helped the team compile a record of 181-117 over 11 seasons. He assisted with practice, recruiting efforts, and scouting of opponents. The team made the conference playoffs nine of 11 years, winning three conference titles and advancing to three NCAA Division III Championship Tournaments. The 2001-02 team posted a record of 29-3, reached the national title game, and was inducted into the College’s Sports Hall of Fame.
