Tim Biever will begin his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Lebanon Valley College track & field program in 2014-15. Biever primarily works with LVC's throwers.
Biever's first season with LVC produced a resurgence in women's throwers as the Dutchmen scored in four events and won two medals at MAC Outdoor Championships while qualifying three for ECAC championships. In 2013, Biever helped develop a young throwing group that included MAC medalists Mariah Smolka (shot put, hammer), Caitlin Bach (shot put) and Taylor Seiber (discus). Smolka became Biever's first NCAA qualifier in 2014 as she made the trip to outdoor nationals after breaking the long-standing program record.
A graduate of Syracuse University and Northern Lebanon High Scool, Biever was a four-year competitor for Syracuse, where he primarily threw discus and shot put. He earned Big East Academic All-Star honors while there. Biever began coaching at Northern Lebanon in 2004, working with his alma mater's throwers and producing multiple PIAA District III and state medalists.
